For more than 60 years we have been offering solutions to difficult challenges when transporting a wide variety of products.

Over 30 years ago, Wire Belt introduced the spread/converge conveyor now known as the Ladder-Flex conveyor.

Our Ladder-Flex Conveyors were originally developed in-house to meet the needs of the confectionery industry where products needed to be split into lanes to avoid sticking during the enrobing process. After a number of successful installations, our wide range of unique Ladder-Flex conveyors have proven to be the ideal solution to persistent problems in the transport process.

Distributing, converging, and sorting products is an important requirement for a variety of applications. Processing problems that require belt width changes to accommodate different proprietary equipment can be solved immediately using a Ladder-Flex conveyor.

In the confectionery industry there is a wide range of products that need to be separated and distributed before processing. After processing, the same product may need to be converged into a narrower width tape before cooling or packaging. Products that need to be coated, for example, may need to be separated to avoid sticking during the coating process.

Wire Belt's positive-drive Ladder-Flex Conveyors combine rows of stainless steel belts running on food-grade blue polyethylene liners, both diverging and merging product on the line. Narrow transfers to the adjacent systems are possible without any problems. Different infeed widths to bridge the gap between devices with different widths can be freely selected and constitute a smooth product flow.
