Eye Flex® Wire link belts are extremely strong and durable. They have a high carrying capacity. The open surface ensures the greatest possible/maximum air circulation. The modular design allows an extremely large scope for the openness of the belt and additional options such as chain guide, driver selection and channel edges. Productivity with added value: conveyor belts and conveyor belts with service from Wire Belt.
Eye Flex® is a modular wire conveyor belt. This type of belt mainly consists of wire loops that are alternately placed on crossbars. The distances between the crossbars define the chord pitch. There are various methods of gap protection for the wire eyelets, which increase or decrease the permeability of the belt depending on the requirement.
The following features of this type of conveyor belt are particularly positive:
Eye Flex® is the harness for high loads and for a wide range of applications.
Depending on the requirements of the end application, a certain gap width (clear distance between the wire loops) is required. There are various methods for securing the gap width, which are shown below. After that you will find the specification tables available for the respective methods.

The gap width is defined by the strength of the wire loops used. This achieves a large contact surface and prevents smaller products from falling through.

The wire loops are welded to 1 - 3 cross wires. This enables high flexibility in the size of the gap width. The smallest possible gap width is the thickness of the wire eyelet plus 0,3 mm. This gap can be increased in increments of 0,1 mm. The maximum gap can thus be over 50 mm.
Furthermore, this method is preferable if the application has higher hygiene requirements. The underwelded wires eliminate gaps under spacers such as rings, compression springs or spacer sleeves where bacteria could collect.

The gaps between the wire loops are filled with rings until the desired gap width is reached. Of course, this depends on the eyelet and ring thickness.

By inserting compression springs as spacers, the wire loops themselves retain a certain flexibility by not being rigidly held in position. This keeps the harness dimensionally stable in heating or freezing applications by allowing the wire loops on the crossbar to move freely. Compared to rings and spacer sleeves, there is also the advantage that a larger proportion of the crossbars are exposed, which means better cleaning properties are offered.

Spacer sleeves as spacers are not considered standard.
Please ask us if you would like a belt with sleeves to protect against gaps.
Our gear wheels made of stainless steel EN 1.4305 are suitable for all applications.
If the temperature requirements are lower, we also supply cheaper gears made of steel, PA6G or POM, depending on the application environment.
