If you want to achieve the greatest possible success, then you shouldn't make any compromises. This is also an essential requirement for maximum efficiency. The need to distribute, position and converge products on conveyors during transport is a major challenge in many sectors of the food, confectionery and other industries. Wire Belt's many innovative developments set the standards in this class of Conveyor systems far up.
The need to distribute, position and converge products on conveyors during transport is a major challenge in many sectors of the food, confectionery and other industries. Space can often be saved by using narrower conveyors.
Wire Belt has the solution: Our Ladder-Flex™ Positive Drive Manifold or Converter. The conveyor combines rows of belts running on food grade blue polyethylene pads with stainless steel sprockets providing traction within the web of belt strands. The conveyor systems can be specially manufactured according to your requirements.
The standard design is a "fan type" distributor or converter, which positions the product evenly on both sides of the conveyor.
Our standard drives and controllers have IP66 housing protection and OS2 surface protection (drive only) making them suitable for intensive washdown processes. On request, we configure customer-specific systems for individual requirements.
A variable frequency drive (VFA) can be fitted for the drive, allowing start/stop functions and speed controls.
Normally, the VFA is installed in our standard control panel with a housing made entirely of stainless steel and including an emergency stop switch. Alternatively, an Invertek E3 Optidrive controller with a plastic housing and no emergency stop switch is available. As standard, Ladder Flex® conveyors are supplied with height-adjustable support legs with mounting holes. As an option, they can also be supplied with lockable castors including brakes.
The conveyor belt frame construction is made of stainless steel.
The contact surface is made of food grade blue polyethylene.
